Typescarf is a self-directed project that I developed with Philipp Bulk. This edition of the typescarf brand is the second issue and holds the title „Rise and Shine“.
The impulse for this issue came from the ancient urbanism of St. Petersburg, with it’s magnificent buildings, gold-plated rooftops and splendid churches - all formed during a communistic and historical era, followed by nerve-wracking politics and archaic values.
A strong and stylish youth culture is rising, caught between cohesion and rebellion - nostalgia and new-wave. The russian youth stands out in a powerful aura, and forms a polarizing and new aesthetic. The core of this cult is reflected in the composition of the upcoming Typescarf collection.
